Everyone can’t be your target market, so determine your niche which in turn will lead you to determining your ideal target market.

If you try to sell to everyone you will end up confusing your potential customers and your brand will suffer.

Ideally once you have written your business plan you will have an idea of your target market. This would have included doing adequate research, not only to find out what your ideal customers need, but also, to discover who your competitors see as their target market and what they do better than you.

Your products and services are a solution in waiting so to speak, and once your marketing is in place your customers will be more interested in finding out more about your business and how you can assist them.

Begin the process by thinking like a customer, put yourself in the place of your would be customers and make a list of your needs, likes and dislikes.

As always I appreciate your emails, comments and messages, so keep them coming, thanks.
